4.1 Command Line Interface

A description of the command line interface can be obtained by executing translate with no arguments.

prompt> translate

will generate the following output:

translate v1.8  International Name Conversion
OpenEye Scientific Software, May 2008

usage:  translate from <language> [<infile> [<outfile>]]
   or:  translate to <language> [<infile> [<outfile>]]
available languages include british, chinese, dutch,
danish, french, german, greek, hungarian, italian,
japanese, polish, romanian, russian, slovak, spanish,
swedish and welsh
