The display of the main window can be controlled by selecting the desired option from the ``Main window..." submenu in the Windows menu. The current main window is indicated in this submenu by the presence of a check mark next to its name. At any given time, there can be only one main window. This window occupies the central area of the application on the screen. In Figure 3.2, the 3D display (see chapter 5) is the main window.
In addition, the main window can optionally displayed in ``Fullscreen" mode, by selecting the Fullscreen option in the ``Main window..." submenu described above. Pressing the ``Esc" key will return to normal display mode (please note you may have to click on the screen first before hitting the ``Esc" key in order for the key press to be registered). Furthermore, the display of the main menubar and statusbar can be toggled in ``Fullscreen" mode using the ``F1" and ``F2" keys respectively.
Currently, four different main windows are available: the 3D display, the 2D display (see chapter 6), the spreadsheet (see chapter 7), and the form browser (see chapter 8). More details about the individual main window options can be found in their relevant chapters.
