7.7 Importing/Exporting
Spreadsheets may be exported to standard spreadsheet formats by opening the
File menu and selecting the ``Spreadsheet" option from the Export
submenu. SpreadSheets can be exported in either tab delimited (.txt file) or
comma separated (.csv) formats.
Both formats can be imported by the spreadsheet. When importing SpreadSheet
files, the following rules apply:
- If the Column Name is specified in the imported file, the the row with the same name will be updated.
- Imported rows with names that do not currently exist in the spreadsheet are ignored (except if a Smiles
column exists, see below)
- Rows with duplicate names will load the last row with the duplicate name.
- If the Column Name does not appear in the specified file but the column Smiles does, then a new
molecule will be added to the spreadsheet using Smiles as the 2D input format.
