5.8.4 Contour Toolbar

The Contour Toolbar is provided for easy manipulation of grid contours and can be seen in Figure 5.14. This toolbar is essentially a compact representation of the controls available on the Grids page of the Style Window (see Figure 5.12).

The slider controls the current threshold for the contour index indicated by the pulldown menu. Because grids may can contain multiple contours, the contour of interest must be selected using the pulldown menu in order to manipulate that contour.

Electrostatic grids, while they have two actual contours, only have one contour accessible from the pulldown menu as the value of the negative and positive contours are tied to each other. For finer grained control of the individual contours, use the controls available on the Grids page of the Style Window discussed above.

Contours can be added or removed by clicking on the buttons indicated by a plus and minus icons respectively. These icons are disabled when the current grid is an Electrostatic grid. Finally, the display of the grid can be set to Solid or Mesh by clicking on the last two buttons respectively.
