2.3.1 Platform differences

Microsoft Windows and Linux use Ctrl keyboard combinations. For all menu operations such as copy, paste, and undo, Mac OS X uses the Apple button instead.

Similarly, to display information on mouse over in 3D window, the Alt button must be held down instead of the Ctrl button.
