Academics start here!
OpenEye provides no-fee academic licensing to qualified academics. The goals are to support academic research and education and contribute to the advancement of science.
Important policies:

All academic licenses must be requested via the
online academic license application .

All academic license renewals must be requested via the
online academic license application .

Who may apply:
- principal investigators, normally the leader of an academic research lab
- head of a teaching unit
Who may NOT apply:
- students
- post-doctoral fellows
- professors who are not the P.I. for the specified research
- Customer support.
Academic licensing does not include
software support.
- Fees and commercial rights
Academic licenses are free, meaning there is no monetary fee, and no commercial rights are
conferred.
To obtain commercial rights, an academic may purchase an annual software package lease at
a special discount.
