About this session
A webinar with Paul Hawkins, Principal Product Evangelist, and Dave Hamilton, Lead Scientific Product Manager
You know that experiment you want to automate, that dataset you’d love to wrangle, that desktop app you wished existed? For a lot of chemists, the thing in your way has always been the same: “I can’t code.”
AI coding agents are changing that. You can now describe what you want in plain language and have an agent write, run, and debug the code for you using OpenEye’s programming toolkits. The code you get is based on some of the best-validated and widely-tested tools in cheminformatics and molecular modeling, so everything you write will have the best available scientific foundation.
In this session, Paul Hawkins and Dave Hamilton, both organic chemists by training, skip the polished slide deck and talk through how they got into this area and how they began coding desktop tools without becoming software engineers. Along the way, they’ll show some AI-coded solutions that they built themselves, including a general purpose 3D triage tool and a purpose-built analyzer for ROCS hitlists.
Who it’s for:
Anyone who has ever said “I’d do that if I could code.”
