Paul George, IT Manager, OpenEye, Cadence Design Systems, recycled 1000 pounds of electronic waste from the facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The e-waste included monitors, laptops, lead-acid batteries, legacy peripherals, cables, and other types of obsolete hardware.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), electronic waste is one of the fastest growing solid waste streams in the world. Discarded devices are considered e-waste and can become a threat to health and the environment if they are not disposed of and recycled appropriately.
